Trust, accompanied by doing good, finding pleasure in the Lord, and committing our path to the Lord, provides a necessary foundation for the security and confidence we intensely long for, especially in the face of such harmful forces as anger, grief, or fear.
The abundance (or lack) of trust we have in a person, place, or thing, directly impacts our interactions. Travel to a zoo, and you will get as close to the glass or the fence as you trust. Steer into an intersection, and you will proceed as confidently as you trust the other motorists.
When it comes to our overall sense of well-being and our closeness to our Creator, trust is not just another word to take lightly. It is part of the groundwork upon which our relationship with the Father is assembled, and it is a suitable indicator of our capacity to remain steadfast in moments of adversity.
The properly placed fear of God leads to this trust we wish to develop. Trust, in turn directs us towards a few benefits we cannot sneak into our lives through alternative methods.
